Duke Summer Reading Program
The Duke Summer Reading Program is designed to give incoming students a shared intellectual experience with other members of their class. During Orientation Welcome Week, First-Year Advisory Counselors (FACs) will facilitate a discussion with first-year students. Other conversations and events related to the reading will take place throughout the fall semester.The book selected by a committee of students, faculty and staff for the Class of 2013 is The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. The book will be mailed to domestic students in early July. International students will receive their copy with the Blue Book.
