Driving Directions

To East Campus
Take the Durham Freeway (NC 147) to Swift Avenue. If you are arriving from NC 147 South, turn right onto Swift; If you are arriving from NC 147 North, turn left onto Swift. You will see East Campus within 100 yards from your entry onto Swift Avenue.

To West Campus (Blue Zone Parking Lots)
From I-85, Traveling North
Exit onto Highway 70 East; Continue approximately 1.9 miles; Turn right onto NC 751 and go about 4.5 miles; turn left at fifth stop light (Duke University Road); Take first left onto Wannamaker Drive and park in the lots on your right or left marked by the Orientation Parking signs.

From I-85, Traveling South
The Interstate will merge with Highway 15-501. Stay left on 15-501 bypass - Duke University/Chapel Hill; Go about 2 miles and the NC 751/Duke University exit; Turn left onto NC 751 and go about .7 mile to the fourth stop light (Duke University Road); Turn left onto Duke University Road; Take first left onto Wannamaker Drive and park in the lots on your right or left marked by the Orientation Parking signs.

From I-40, Traveling West
(From Raleigh and Airport) bear right onto the Durham Freeway (NC 147); follow the Durham Freeway until you see the Chapel Hill Street exit; turn right onto Chapel Hill Street; Chapel Hill Street will become Duke University Road. Proceed past Chapel Drive and Towerview, and turn right on Wannamaker Drive; Park in the lots on your right or left marked by the Orientation Parking signs.

From I-40, Traveling East and from Chapel Hill
Exit onto the 15-501 Bypass toward Duke University; Take NC 751 exit; Make a right onto NC 751; Go to the third stoplight (Duke University Road) and turn left; Take first left onto Wannamaker Drive and park in the lots on your right or left marked by the Orientation Parking signs.


Travel between Campuses
The recommended route from West to East Campus is as follows: Leave the Orientation Parking (Blue Zone) and turn left onto Duke University Road; Turn left on either Swift Avenue or Buchanan Street.
